Policy Coordination
The new Policy Coordination Unit does exactly as the name suggests, it coordinates policy.
It is made up of Legal Policy, Community and Justice Policy and the departments Research and Statistics Unit.
Essentially, any policy issue across the department is fed through this new unit for advice and further development. This ensures whole of Government/departmental strategies and directions are consistently met in the most efficient and effective way.
As well as internal matching, Policy Coordination is responsible for any Department of Justice policy responses/submissions to other agencies, both Government and non Government.
